Twin Peaks: how FXNOD's Deriv Over 7 bot works

Twin Peaks is a ready-made bot in FXNOD's Auto Hub that buys Deriv's one-tick Over 7 contract, which wins when the next tick ends in 8 or 9. Twin Peaks waits for five ticks in a row with no 8 or 9, then buys Over 7. After a losing trade its stake is multiplied by 1.32, and after a win it returns to the starting stake. You start it on one market with one of three fixed plans, with a stop loss of 20, 100 or 500, and the session ends at the plan's profit target or its stop loss.

What Twin Peaks trades

Twin Peaks trades one contract only: Over 7, from Deriv's Over / Under family, with a length of one tick. The contract is decided by the last digit of a tick's price, which is its final decimal digit: a tick at 1234.56 ends in 6. A trade wins when the next tick ends in 8 or 9. Two digits out of ten win, so a win pays several times the stake. A losing trade costs the whole stake. Deriv sets the payout, and each trade's result is listed on the run page.

When Twin Peaks enters a trade

Twin Peaks reads the last digit of every tick. It enters only when the five newest ticks all end in a digit from 0 to 7, and then buys a one-tick Over 7, which wins on 8 or 9.

A losing trade ends in 7 or less, so it extends the run the bot is waiting for, and the next entry can follow on the next tick. A winning trade ends in 8 or 9 and resets the wait: at least five more ticks pass before the next entry.

Twin Peaks holds one trade at a time: it looks for the next entry only after the last contract has closed. The entry rule sets when the bot trades and how often. It does not make any single trade more likely to win.

How Twin Peaks sizes its stake

Twin Peaks uses a Martingale stake. After a losing trade the stake is multiplied by 1.32; after a winning trade it returns to the starting stake. Losses in a row compound: the stake after two straight losses is the starting stake multiplied twice, rounded to two decimal places.

The stop loss bounds the ladder. A stake is placed only if it is no larger than what is left of the stop loss; a step that does not fit is not placed, and the session ends there. The table shows the stakes of an unbroken run of losses from a session that is level. A session that is already in profit has more room, and one that is behind has less.

PlanLosses in a row that fitStakes if every trade losesLost by thenNext step, not placed
Stop loss 20100.35, 0.46, 0.61, 0.80, …, 3.23, 4.2616.465.62
Stop loss 100160.35, 0.46, 0.61, 0.80, …, 17.06, 22.5391.8129.73
Stop loss 500220.35, 0.46, 0.61, 0.80, …, 90.27, 119.16490.42157.29

Read the first row like this: on the stop loss 20 plan, 10 losing trades in a row cost 16.46 in total. The next stake would be 5.62, which is more than the 3.54 left of the stop loss, so the bot does not place it and the session ends.

The plans of Twin Peaks

Twin Peaks is not given a stake, a stop loss and a profit target one by one. You choose a plan, and the plan sets all of them together. Plans are named by their stop loss. The amounts are in the currency of the Deriv account the bot trades.

PlanStarting stakeProfit targetMultiplier after a loss
Stop loss 200.3511.32
Stop loss 1000.3551.32
Stop loss 5000.35251.32

When a session ends

  • The profit target is reached. The bot stops with the session's profit at or above the plan's target.
  • The stop loss is reached. No stake is placed that could take the session's loss past the plan's stop loss.
  • You stop it. The Stop button on the run page ends the session at any time.

Twin Peaks runs on FXNOD's servers, not in your browser. Closing the page or switching off your device does not stop it, and does not switch off its limits. Starting it again after a session has ended begins a new session with the full plan.

How to start Twin Peaks

  1. Open Auto Hub and choose Twin Peaks

The bot's page opens with a How it works panel that lists its rules in order.

  2. Choose the market

Twin Peaks trades one market. The form suggests Volatility 100 (1s), Volatility 100, Volatility 75 (1s), Volatility 75, Volatility 50 (1s) and Volatility 50. Jump 100 is not offered for this bot.

  3. Choose a plan

Each plan card shows its stop loss, its take profit and its starting stake. Nothing on the card can be edited.

  4. Check the account, then start

The panel shows which Deriv account the bot will trade. On a demo account the button reads Start on demo. On a real account you tick a box to confirm that the bot trades real money, and the button reads Start with real money. The first time, Deriv asks you to approve FXNOD's automated-trading connection on its own page.

Questions people ask

What does the Twin Peaks bot trade?
Twin Peaks buys Deriv's Over 7 contract with a length of one tick. A trade wins when the next tick ends in 8 or 9, which is 2 of the ten possible last digits.
When does Twin Peaks place a trade?
Twin Peaks waits for five ticks in a row with no 8 or 9, then buys Over 7.
Does Twin Peaks use Martingale?
Yes. After a losing trade the stake is multiplied by 1.32, and after a win it returns to the starting stake. A step that would not fit in what is left of the stop loss is not placed, and the session ends.
Can I change the stake or stop loss of Twin Peaks?
Not one by one. You choose one of its three plans, with a stop loss of 20, 100 or 500, and the plan sets the stake and the profit target with it. To set every amount yourself, build a bot in Bot Forge.
Does Twin Peaks keep running when I close the page?
Yes. Twin Peaks runs on FXNOD's servers until it reaches its profit target or its stop loss, or until you stop it.
