Can you have more than one Deriv account?

No. Deriv's terms say you may hold only one account with the Deriv group, and that any additional one is a duplicate account that Deriv can close. Inside that one account you can have several things: a demo account, Wallets, sub-accounts and platform accounts such as Deriv MT5 or cTrader, which the terms exclude from the one-account rule.

One login, several accounts inside it

Allowed inside one Deriv accountNote
Demo accountVirtual funds, alongside your real account
Wallets and sub-accountsExcluded from the one-account rule by the terms
Platform accountsDeriv's help centre says up to five Deriv cTrader accounts can sit under one profile

What is not allowed

  • A second registration with another email address.
  • An account opened in a relative's or friend's name that you trade.
  • Letting someone else use your account. The terms say you alone control access.

What happens to a duplicate

Deriv's terms let it close duplicate accounts and move any remaining balance to the account it authorises. Until that is settled, money in the duplicate may be out of reach. If you have opened a second account by mistake, tell Deriv's live chat before depositing into it.

Why people want more than one

  • To separate strategies. Use the accounts inside one login, or keep a journal by strategy.
  • To restart after losses. A fresh account does not fix what caused them.
  • To claim a promotion twice. That breaches the terms.
  • To trade from a country where Deriv is not offered. Also a breach.

Several accounts in FXNOD

When you connect a Deriv login to FXNOD, every account under it is listed, demo and real, and you choose which one to trade. You can also connect more than one Deriv login to FXNOD and each is connected and disconnected separately. That is a feature of FXNOD and does not change Deriv's rule: whether you may hold those logins is a matter between you and Deriv.

Questions people ask

Can I open two Deriv accounts with different emails?
Deriv's terms allow one account per person and treat any other as a duplicate that can be closed.
Can I have both a demo and a real account on Deriv?
Yes. They sit under the same login and you switch between them.
How many Deriv cTrader accounts can I have?
Deriv's help centre says up to five under a single Deriv profile.
